Terms of Use
Terms for using Animator
These terms explain the rules for using Animator, AnimatorAI™, Free and Pro assets, licences, credits and exported content.
Effective and last updated: 15 July 2026
By accessing or using Animator, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy page.
1. Eligibility and authority
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Animator for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation. A parent or guardian must supervise use by anyone who cannot legally accept these Terms themselves.
2. What Animator provides
Animator is a browser-based animation editor with timeline editing, whiteboard handwriting, talking characters, templates, voice tools, imported media, optional cloud AI and compatible Local AI features. Browser, device, model and third-party service support may vary.
Projects may be stored in a workspace folder or browser storage selected by you. You are responsible for maintaining backups and exporting important projects. Clearing browser data, removing permissions, changing files or losing a device may make locally stored or linked material unavailable.
3. Free, Pro and lifetime licences
Animator may offer Free and paid Pro capabilities. A paid licence grants the usage rights described at purchase; it does not transfer ownership of Animator, its source code, services, characters, templates or raw asset library.
A “lifetime” licence refers to the supported lifetime of the purchased Animator product offering, subject to these Terms, technical feasibility and third-party dependencies. It does not guarantee that every current cloud model, external provider, feature or operating cost will remain unchanged indefinitely.
Licence keys must not be shared, resold, published or used to evade activation limits. We may reset, limit or suspend a key when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or unauthorised distribution.
4. AnimatorAI™ Credits and bring-your-own-key services
AnimatorAI™ Credits are units used for eligible hosted AI operations. The amount included with a purchase, the operations charged and any restoration for a failed request are shown in the product or purchase information. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred unless Animator expressly permits it.
When you add your own third-party API key, you are responsible for that provider’s terms, account security, charges, quotas and content rules. Animator is not responsible for charges billed directly by your chosen provider.
5. Payments, refunds and consumer rights
Payments may be processed by Payhip or another disclosed payment provider. Prices, currency, tax and the included licence are shown during purchase.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian consumer guarantees. Refund requests, duplicate payments and defective-product claims will be assessed under the purchase terms and applicable law.
6. Your projects and content
You retain rights you already hold in your scripts, recordings, uploaded media, original project material and exported videos. You confirm that you have permission to upload, process, animate and publish the content you use.
You grant Animator only the limited permission required to process your request, provide a selected cloud service, diagnose material you voluntarily submit for support and operate the product. This permission ends when it is no longer needed, subject to normal security, legal and backup-retention requirements.
7. AI-generated content
AI-generated narration, facts, code, diagrams, images and other output may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable or similar to output generated for another user. You must review and, where appropriate, verify output before relying on or publishing it.
Animator does not guarantee that AI output is exclusive, copyrightable or free from third-party claims. Do not rely solely on generated content for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other high-stakes decisions.
8. Animator assets and exported videos
Subject to your plan and any asset-specific notice, you may use Animator Free and properly licensed Pro assets as part of completed exported videos, including lessons, client work, advertising and monetised content.
You may not extract, redistribute, sublicense or sell raw Animator assets, character packs, templates or catalogue files; republish the asset library; bypass Pro controls; or present Animator’s underlying assets as your own standalone product. Third-party assets remain subject to their separate licences.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Animator to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, attack systems, steal credentials, exploit or harass people, create deceptive impersonation, evade licence or credit controls, scrape the service excessively, or process content you have no right to use.
10. Third-party services
Some features depend on payment processors, AI providers, analytics, Lottie or asset providers, browser vendors and services connected through your own API key. Those services may change, fail, impose limits or operate under separate terms and privacy policies.
11. Availability and changes
Animator may be updated to improve security, reliability, compatibility, performance or product direction. Features may be modified or replaced, especially where a browser, AI model or third-party provider changes. Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid capabilities.
12. Suspension and termination
We may proportionately restrict cloud or licensed access for payment fraud, licence-key abuse, security attacks, illegal use or serious and repeated violations of these Terms. Local project files remain your responsibility. Previously exported videos may continue to be used if they were created lawfully under a valid licence.
13. Disclaimers and liability
Animator is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free AI output, compatibility with every device or recovery of local files.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Animator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss caused by unavailable services, unverified AI output, lost local data or third-party providers. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Australian operator of Animator and any mandatory laws that apply to you. Before starting formal proceedings, both sides should first attempt to resolve the issue through the support channel, unless urgent relief or a non-excludable legal right requires otherwise.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Animator develops. The effective date will be changed when a new version is published. Material changes will be highlighted through the website, product or release information where practical. Continued use after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Questions or concerns
Use the Animator support information for product, licence or Terms-related questions.
These Terms are general product terms and do not replace legal advice about your particular circumstances.
